The following must be attached to the application for registration:
 

1. A copy of passport or identity card of the applicant for registration, the author and the assignee.
2. A statement of the specifications of the work.
3. Two copies or two photos 20x20 cm from the work, according to the nature of the work.
4. A Power of Attorney.

The application for registration of import and distribution rights of the works in the register shall include the following details and documents:

1. title, type and language of the work.
2. name of the producing body, address and place of production.
3. document providing the legal relationship that permits import and distribution, including the following:
   
   a. geographical area agreed upon for distribution of the work.
   b. Duration of the economic exploitation of the work.
   c. Method of economic exploitation of the work.
   d. Place, and date of signing the respective document.
   e. Official authentication of the document according to the duly practiced legal methods.
   f. Legal translation to Arabic, if the document is written in a foreign language.
    

Please note:

• The Power of Attorney, if executed outside the UAE, must be legalised (authenticated) with the UAE Embassy or Consulate and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of origin.
• All documents filed must be in Arabic, if the originals are drawn up in English Language. If the original language is not English then the documents must be translated into both languages English and Arabic.
• The originals of the documents referred to in 1, 2, and 3 must be attached with the application form when it is submitted.
